Duck Pluckers Ball Raises $100,000 for Ambulance

Thanks to the overwhelming support of the community, Alton Memorial Hospital’s annual Duck Pluckers, Deer Skinners & Fish Hookers Ball raised $100,000 on June 2. The money will purchase a new AMH ambulance that will honor Barry and Gaye Julian, longtime champions of the event.

Wound Care Center Honored For Excellence

AMH physicians, leaders and clinicians gathered recently to celebrate the Center of Excellence Award, which was given to the AMH Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center by Healogics Inc., the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. The Center achieved outstanding patient outcomes for 24 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction of 95 percent, a 95 percent wound healing rate within 21 median days to heal.

C.A.R.E. Channel Now Available in Patient Rooms

Alton Memorial Hospital has added The C.A.R.E. Channel for patient room televisions. The 24-hour broadcast, offered on Channel 17 of all AMH televisions, is uniquely designed to reinforce the day/night cycle, which is a significant factor for the body’s ability to heal. All televisions are programmed to have the C.A.R.E. Channel showing when the set is turned on.

Amy Maher Joins Alton OB/GYN as Nurse Practitioner

Coming Together For a Common Cause
