BJC HealthCare will make it easier for families to access BJC’s world-class care in the Godfrey area in 2023. BJC will develop a 14,000-square-foot outpatient care facility with additional shell space for future expansion at the corner of Godfrey Road and Celesta Street.

The Alton Memorial Hospital Human Motion Institute has begun using a new tool called the Athletic Movement Index (AMI) test. AMI uses wearable technology to screen athletes and patients for risk of injury. It was particularly designed with ACL injuries in mind and is used for pre-season screening for many professional and collegiate teams. Lovie Ward has been a patient at the Alton Memorial Hospital Cancer and Infusion Center for the past several months, and during that time a lot of treatment has happened. It just so happens that a large portion of that treatment had been administered by Lovie to other people.
