AMH Adds Family/Sports Medicine Physician

Dr. Amy McClintock Practicing in Edwardsville Office

Amy McClintock, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in family medicine and sports medicine. She began recently at BJC Medical Group Primary Care and Sports Medicine, inside the BJC Outpatient Center located at 2120 Troy Road in Edwardsville. Patients of all ages can visit Dr. McClintock for all their primary care needs, including routine preventative care, high blood pressure, diabetes, respiratory infections, and acute illnesses. Dr. McClintock also sees both competitive athletes and non-athletes with musculoskeletal complaints. She performs pre-participation exams and can help guide “return to play” decisions for ill or injured athletes.

Dr. McClintock earned her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency with Mercy Hospital St. Louis and completed her sports medicine fellowship with Summa Health System at Northeastern Ohio University.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Dr. McClintock has been a multisport athlete her entire life. As a student at Rice University, she played Division I soccer. During medical school, Dr. McClintock started riding bicycles for fun and now races bicycles at an elite level, through road racing, criterium racing, and cyclocross.
