For more than 25 years, the hospital’s emergency medical services team has been a leader in providing emergency treatment to residents throughout the Alton community and beyond. Whether responding to 911 emergencies, providing patient transport or offering mutual aid response to surrounding municipalities, our highly trained staff is there for you and your family when in need.
Since 1988, our emergency medical services team has grown into the area’s leading provider of emergency care. Thanks to the support of our community, through events like the “Duck Pluckers” Ball started in 2009, new state-of-the-art vehicles with the latest in technology and advanced medical care are benefiting people throughout the area.
Today, Alton Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services provides emergency treatment throughout a 374 square-mile radius, caring for the residents of Madison, Macoupin and Jersey counties.
With a team of emergency medical technicians, paramedics, all pediatric and PALS certified, and a professional support staff you can be assured that in an emergency medical situation you or a loved one will receive the compassionate, clinical care expected from Alton Memorial Hospital. We work closely with the hospital’s emergency department physicians and nurses who act as a resource to our EMS personnel in the field.
