Patient, Family and Community Advisory Council (PFCAC): A unique partnership was established in 2019 to enhance the patient and family experience by providing a voice in shaping the delivery of health care at Alton Memorial Hospital.
The Patient, Family and Community Advisory Council (PFCAC) consists of patients, family members, members of our community and staff liaisons who volunteer their time to work together to ensure the next patient’s or family member’s journey is a positive experience.
We do our best to create a diverse group with different ages, gender, and cultural backgrounds. Together, we listen, communicate, plan, and develop responsive services.
Our Mission:
Strengthen partnerships between patients, families, our communities and the health care community.
Our Vision:
To be a guiding team that partners with the health care community to ensure an excellent experience and outcome for the patient and family.
Our Goals:
PFCAC will advocate for patients and families by:
- Identifying and promoting resources that will help the patient and family navigate through the health care experience.
- Empowering patients and family members to take ownership of their care through open communication
- Participating in the development and planning of patient and family satisfaction initiatives
