First Baby of 2010

Khiry Dejshawn Spells was the first baby born at AMH in 2010. Khiry checked in at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, January 3, weighing 8 pounds, 8 ounces and 21 inches long. With him are his mother, Deja Crumer, and father, Eric Spells, of Alton. In the back is a wagon full of goodies for the family supplied by Alton Memorial. The gifts in the wagon are bought by Hospital employees and include a wide variety of baby-related items.
