Alton Memorial Hospital's Center for Senior Renewal is coming to the aid of older adults who struggle with depression and other forms of mental illness. The program helps individuals cope with their illness in a comfortable, confidential outpatient setting.
Program Features
- The center's staff provides day treatment programs under the medical direction of a psychiatrist.
- Treatment for mental illness includes intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs.
- Patients are able to return home each day after treatment and transportation is available.
To help patients overcome issues like loss, grief and sadness, the center's staff uses:
- Group therapy
- Individual counseling
