Lifeline can help you preserve your independence by giving you the confidence to continue to live where you want to -- in your own home.
It's Easy to Use
By pressing a personal-help button worn as a pendant or wristband, you are in touch with a Lifeline monitor that quickly determines the type of help you need. The personal-help button activates a small in-home communicator with a highly sensitive speaker phone that automatically dials the Lifeline Call Center. This lets the Lifeline monitor talk to you, even if you can't get to the phone. You can even be in another room, on a different floor, or outside, and the signal is still received. The personal-help button is completely waterproof, so you can wear it in the shower or bath.
Provides Peace of Mind
You may need only minor assistance that requires a neighbor to stop by, or it may be serious enough to require an ambulance. Lifeline monitors have all of the important information needed at their fingertips, such as emergency numbers as well as neighbors.
It's Affordable
Lifeline Personal Response and Support Services is offered through BJC Home Care Services. Subscribers pay a low, one-time installation charge and a monthly fee for as long as they continue to use the service. There is no equipment to purchase and no long-term commitment.
An Easy Way to Remember Everything
The Lifeline telephone has a special feature so you or someone you trust can record up to six reminder messages. The Lifeline telephone plays a special chime and you simply press a button on the phone to hear your reminder.
Reminders can be used to:
- Remind you to take your medicine
- Help you remember medical appointments
- Follow doctor's guidelines for diet and exercise
- Keep track of social engagements and important dates
