Each month, Alton Memorial Hospital gives out an Employee Recognition Award based on nominations from staff and physicians. Here are the most recent honorees:
July 2016 – Scott Allsman, Human Motion Institute
The co-worker who nominated him said that “Scott is always a joy to work with. He is very motivating for the patients and good comic relief for the staff. He is easy to come to to discuss how the patient is doing with therapy and if there is anything nursing should do differently. Scott is a long-time, loyal employee who deserves to be recognized for his commitment to the AMH team.”
August 2016 – Kyle Ketterer, ICU
Dr. Narine Sargsyan, the hospitalist who nominated Kyle, said that “Kyle is the perfect example of professionalism. Kyle remains calm and professional in the most stressful situations. He effectively communicates with all physicians and staff involved in his patient care assignments. Kyle is able to multitask like no other I have seen. He is a team player; if a co-worker is struggling, he jumps in and lends a hand to assist.
September 2016 – Amy Wylie, Nursing Float Pool
Her co-workers say that “Amy always has a smile on her face. She is kind and goes the extra mile to make sure patients and staff are well cared for. She always puts the patients first and is most of all hard working. Amy is a pleasure to work with day or night.”
“Being named Employee of the Month is such an honor,” Amy said. “Following in the footsteps of so many family members and awesome co-workers, I am humbled and honored to have been selected. Thank you my AMH family!
“What gives me the most satisfaction in my job is being able to be professional and compassionate. I will continue to give the best care I can to each and every patient and their families.”
